Twitter>FaceSpace

WOW it has been a while since I have blogged about anything. Maybe the tragedy of losing to WVU and then losing our starting five is beginning to blow over or maybe I just now have something to say:

Facebook is not for me anymore my friends. There, I said it.

Here is my rational behind deactivating my Facebook account and rallying people to create Twitter accounts, it is something different. Sure, sooner or later Twitter will be swarmed with pre-teen drama and high school "I gives a damn!" But at least we have hope that another network will open for those of us who want to drift away (just like Twitter).

As of now, Twitter is that hope to drift away from the statuses that nobody cares about. We do not care that you are dying of a broken heart...we also do not care that you are on your period (yes I have seen that one folks).

Facebook became the way to boycott Myspace when there became profiles for a person's pet or when your friends posted obscene photos of you that your boss found, now Facebook is becoming that way...TWITTER (what a cool name for a social network)!

I know this post seems to de-convey (is that even a word?) my point that EVERYONE and their mother's mother's brother (literally) is on Facebook, but trust me, many people will not attempt Twitter because they are still enthralled with Facebook.

I am not taking a stab at those of you who enjoy Facebook, not at all am I doing that. I am just talking about those of us who wanted a change, something different. Twitter is that something. I have had a Twitter account for over a year and I am happy to see more and more people that I know on there. Keep joining guys!

And, I say this with pride...let us Tweet!

And that is the view from this side.
