March brings Spring, midterm, St. Patrick's Day and green! None of those things make March the best time of the year. NCAA March Madness makes this time of year even better than Christmas. What other time of year brings jaw dropping, CRAZY FANS, Cinderella stories and "One Shining Moment?" NO OTHER TIME OF YEAR! 2010 March Madness is particularly exciting because of our Wildcats. Talk about a turnaround. This time last year, Cats fans were praying for a spot in the tournament, this year we are expecting a #1 seed. The hype surrounding UK Basketball is phenomenal and unlike anything I have ever experienced before. It is truly amazing to be a student here and to witness the talent of John Wall, Demarcus Cousins, Patrick Patterson and all of the other players. It is also great to have a coach who represents our university so well, thanks Coach Cal.
So for all of the doubters and haters of UK Basketball, just relax, you had your time last year! This year is the year to show the nation how much we bleed blue...and what better time to do it than March?
Wear your blue and white often, talk about the Cats frequently and let people know that you are a Wildcat at heart...this is our year!
